Making Sense of Different Representations of a Linear Function

How to type your answers
  • Negative numbers: use a minus sign, like -3.
  • Numbers can be whole numbers, decimals (0.75), fractions (3/4), or mixed numbers (1 1/2). A $ is fine for money.
  • Points are ordered pairs, like (4, 0). Intercepts need both coordinates.
  • Equations: type y = and your expression. Use / for fractions and parentheses to group, like y = -1/2x + 3. Slope-intercept form (d) has no parentheses around x; factored form (e) looks like y = 2(x - 5).
  • A yellow format note does not use up an attempt. A wrong answer does. You get hints after your first and second misses.
